Lemnah has all kinds of plans on deck: Saison fermented in red wine barrels; an abbey-inspired ale brewed with blueberries; a double IPA aged in rum barrels and which he calls a "tropical hop monster." When I dropped in, Lemnah was chatting with Andrew Peterson, who is very close to starting up his malt house in North Ferrisburgh. Naturally, Lemnah hopes to source some of that malt once Peterson is online.

Trader Joe's Will Open in South Burlington Store on May 16

The Trader Joe's that has been taking shape on Dorset Street in South Burlington will open on Friday, May 16, according to a press release issued by the company early this morning. The 12,800-square-foot store is a typical size for the chain, and will sport the same island motif as its other 400-plus stores.

As far as I can tell so far, "going paleo" means ingesting eggs, coconut oil (which is imbued with almost mythic status) and pureed root vegetables in staggering amounts. ("And bacon," reminded Helen earlier today).
