We're delighted to have you! BTV: The Burlington International Airport Quarterly is a bilingual magazine — translated into French for our Québécois visitors — that highlights Vermont's recreational, cultural and dining scenes according to the season.
Spring is more commonly known as "mud season" around these parts. But whatever the weather — snow, sleet or glorious sun — there's still plenty to do, see and eat.
In the early part of the season, freezing nights and daytime thaws mean one thing: maple sugaring. Vermont's Maple Open House Weekend, on March 21 and 22, invites visitors into the sugar bush and the sugarhouse to explore and sample the sweet stuff. In this issue, we talk with Sam Cutting of Dakin Farm — one of the participating locations — about how he spends the springtime.
When the days grow a little warmer, consider a scenic stroll through Burlington's Wildways. These walking paths are part of an ongoing project to conserve and connect natural areas, which account for a quarter of the city's land. And you know what they say: The best way to explore a city is on foot.
If you'd rather be road tripping, may we suggest an art adventure? During Spring Open Studio Weekend, on May 23 and 24, Vermont artists and crafters open their studio doors. We'll introduce you to three worth seeking out — and point you in the direction of nearby food and fun, too.
There's much more to experience this season, from the Burlington Farmers Market to Vermont Restaurant Week to a showcase of Abenaki culture. If you're just passing through Vermont, we hope you'll be convinced to return for a longer stay. Use this magazine, too, as a guide to the airport and on-the-ground transportation options.
While you're waiting for takeoff, the Burlington International Airport aims to make your stay a pleasant one. Locavore crêperie the Skinny Pancake has café locations before and after security to keep you happily fed whether you're coming or going.

Nous sommes ravis de vous accueillir! BTV : Le bulletin trimestriel de l'Aéroport international de Burlington est un magazine bilingue, traduit en français pour nos amis québécois, qui met en valeur les attraits récréatifs, culturels et culinaires du Vermont, selon la saison.
Le printemps est surtout connu comme étant « la saison de la boue » par ici. Mais peu importe la météo – neige, giboulée ou soleil radieux –, il y a toujours quelque chose à faire, à voir et à goûter.
Au début de la saison, le gel la nuit et le dégel le jour signifient une chose : c'est le temps des sucres! Lors du Maple Open House Weekend, les 21 et 22 mars, les visiteurs sont invités à l'érablière et à la cabane à sucre, où découvertes et dégustations les attendent. Dans ce numéro, nous nous entretenons avec Sam Cutting, de Dakin Farm – l'un des établissements participants – pour en savoir plus sur ce qui l'occupe au printemps.
Lorsque le temps commence à se réchauffer un peu, il fait bon se promener dans les pittoresques Burlington Wildways. Ces sentiers pédestres font partie d'un projet visant à protéger et à relier les aires naturelles de la ville, qui représentent le quart du territoire municipal. Vous savez ce qu'on dit : la meilleure façon d'explorer une ville est de l'arpenter à pied.
Si vous préférez faire une virée en voiture, nous avons une aventure à vous suggérer. Durant l'Open Studio Weekend du printemps, les 23 et 24 mai, les artistes et artisans du Vermont vous ouvrent les portes de leurs ateliers. Nous vous en présentons trois qu'il faut absolument visiter – et vous dirons également où aller manger et vous amuser.
Cette saison promet d'être riche en expériences, depuis le Burlington Farmers Market jusqu'à la Semaine des restaurants du Vermont, en passant par une exposition axée sur la culture abénaquise. Si vous ne faites que passer au Vermont, nous espérons que vous voudrez revenir pour un plus long séjour! Utilisez également ce magazine pour vous orienter dans l'aéroport et guider vos choix de transport terrestre.
L'Aéroport international de Burlington tient à rendre votre attente aussi agréable que possible.
